Collection of mounted color and black and white labeled photographs covering a broad range of teaching materials for sub-Saharan African, Afro-Caribbean and African American art and architecture. Many items in the collection donated by Professor Robert Thompson, or acquired at his request.

Collection consists of color and black and white 35 mm slides of the arts of African, Native American, and Pacific Rim cultures, including Australia and New Zealand, as well as Afro-Brazilian, Afro-cuban, Afro-Haitian, Afro-Mexican, Afro-Portuguese, Afro-Surinam, and Afro-American arts.

Collection consists of black and white glass lantern slides of Pre-Columbian arts, including architecture, sculpture, ceramics, and illuminated manuscripts from Mexico, Central America, and the Andean region of South America.

The collection contains scholarly publications and research materials related to the art and architecture of Latin America, Spain, and Portugal including titles on Pre-columbian art and architecture, Mesoamerica, Caribbean Indian culture, and Latin American art of the post-conquest periods.

Collection of 1,803 briefly labeled 35 mm color slides taken in the 1950s-1970s on travels to the Mediterranean, Latin America, and in the United States. Mostly architectural photography, but also many market and street scenes in rural areas of Latin America.
